This week’s Ad of the Week comes from Finland, and was made for the HIV Foundation/AIDS Council Finland by McCann Worldgroup Helsinki, produced by Ragnar Jansson Productions. Although it sounds pretty horrible when you say it – and even worse when you write it down – the fact of the matter is that AIDS does lend itself to sexy ads, which is no bad thing when you’re trying to get such an important message out to people. The less obvious element of an AIDS campaign is humour, but this ad manages it extremely well while also reminding us that AIDS is still with us today.
