Ad of the Week: NCDV ‘House Hunt’ by JWT London


This week’s Ad of the Week was produced by JWT London for the National Centre for Domestic Violence. The ad shows us an estate agent giving a couple a tour around a home and highlights how the home is suitable for various forms of domestic abuse. “Lovely spacious living room, leading to dining area,” he says, glibly. “Double glazing, so no-one will hear your screams.” The ad’s cleverly places domestic violence into an everyday situation, and during a time that would be an exciting and hopeful time for most couples. The ad launched on TV in the UK on 13th March 2013, and was directed by Steve Cope through the production company Rattling Stick.
