YouTube Introduces Native Ads Into Its Mobile App


YouTube has introduced prominent native ads into its Android mobile app. As BTIG analyst Richard Greenfield first spotted, YouTube are now including native content into the ‘What to Watch’ section of US versions of the mobile app. The move opens up another revenue stream for Google, who have seen mobile traffic surge from 25 percent last year to 40 percent this year. In 2011 just 6 percent of YouTube’s traffic came from mobile. You can see one of the ads in action in the video below:
